that allows students to become a real, relevant part of problem solving. So often, student’s perceptions of success involve limited
experiences and a distorted view of intelligence or “smart”. As effective mentors, the 100 Black Men hope to elevate and broaden this
view and assure our children that nothing is wrong with being “smart”. In fact, being “smart” opens endless possibilities and potentials
to fulfill lifelong dreams.
